50 States, 50 Dishcloths

I have been trying to come up with a way to write more patterns and publish them on Ravelry and I have come up with a project: I am planning on designing and making a cotton dishcloth for each of the 50 states. Each one will have the silhouette of the state with the postal code on it; the perfect way to represent your home state!

My mom bought me some cotton yarn to start, I have my knitting needles at the ready, and have two sketches already; Pennsylvania and Delaware.

I was thinking of how to do the order of the states and decided on doing them in the order that they entered the Union so there are no biases!

In sewing news:
I bought this fantastic double sided fabric and am so excited to use it! It is very soft and is singing "Spencer Jacket" so a Spencer jacket it will be (someday).

Still debating which side will be facing out but I am leaning towards plaid on the outside and gingham on the inside... what do you think?

Also, check out these cute shoes I got for only $10 the other day! They are totally vintage and now I can wear this orange dress I have but couldn't wear for lack of matching(ish) footwear!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! This year I knitted some valentines for my friends:

Teehee! Little heart friends!

I used this pattern from Ravelry only I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn so they are about palm sized! They worked up pretty quickly and are so cute!

I wish I had made an extra one for myself! :)

I also received a fantastic Valentine from one of my best friends:

I laughed so hard when she gave me this! This is probably one of the greatest Valentines ever created...

I hope you all had nice Valentines day! Tomorrow I plan on making a post about Military History Fest so please stay tuned!
